January 31st, 2017 - Texas Muslim Capitol Day!
Texas Muslim Capitol Day is an exciting opportunity for community members of all ages to learn about the democratic political process and how to be an advocate. CAIR-DFW is organizing buses to escort interested participants to Austin on a one-day round trip. Buses are leaving from the following locations: (details provided after registration) IACC, EPIC, MAS/Masjid Al Islam, Dar Elsalam masjid.
Tickets include transportation, continental breakfast, lunch, snacks, training sessions and materials.
Participants will receive required training in advance of the trip on how to effectively engage with their elected officials on pre-determined issues. This event is open to everyone. If you are unable to pay for your ticket please contact our office directly to see if a sponsored seat is available.
